Having just jetted over to Cyprus for our holidays, my partner and I were looking for total relaxation away from all the stress of our daily lives! And so, we decided to book a week at the recently renovated Olympic Lagoon Resort in Agia Napa , now a 5-star resort. And it totally lived up to all of our expectations as we enjoyed a holiday in the most luxurious fashion, just a stone’s throw from the gorgeous seas of the east coast and the powdery white sands and crystal-clear waters of the Blue Flag Landa Golden Beach. What did we enjoy the most? Here’s our lowdown!
Each and every meal in the renovated hotel grounds was a real treat for the taste buds and it will come as no surprise that luxury all-inclusive gastronomy is one of the cornerstones of the Olympic Lagoon Resort experience! We loved waking up to the flavoursome morning buffets, plus the fact that drinks are unlimited at all restaurants and bars.
But the best part was stepping outside with gorgeous terraces and verandas boasting great garden and sea views where we really made the most of the Cyprus sunshine! The new Snackeria was ideal for a mid-day bite, and I really enjoyed a tête-à-tête evening with my partner at the adults-only Garibaldi Ristorante Italiano! The atmosphere is more upbeat at The Greats a la carte concept restaurant, inspired by prominent famous personalities who have left their mark on their world. We tucked into traditional recipes and celebrated favourites from across the globe.
As my partner and I were visiting Cyprus on a romantic getaway, the moment we stepped into our room, we felt an immediate sense of tranquillity and calm. Our first thought was that we would find it impossible to leave! We opted for the superior sea rooms within the adults-only Olympic Bay. This hotel-within-a-resort right by the sugary sands of Landa Beach, offers private relaxation adults-only areas with unique facilities and services exclusively designed for guests over 18. Just what we needed to relax!
I have to admit, there’s nothing quite like kicking back by the pool with a long cool cocktail! And we spent most of our day by the glistening waters of the Blue Lagoon. With the sleek open-air bar area and pool now completely renovated, hydromassage and additional water features add to the charm, surrounded by tropical palm trees that reach up to endless skies, rock art formations with large waterfalls, bridges and whirlpools. And come evening, we thoroughly enjoyed our time by the Blue Lagoon Pool Bar; the perfect spot to enjoy an alfresco nightcap under starry skies.
Stepping into the newly renovated Serenity Health Club and Spa was a real delight, and we both let off steam with some exercise classes, before enjoying an excellent massage treatment. Their marine-based spa products are divine, and I’m pretty sure they extended my holiday glow! Once we were positively glowing from the inside out, I indulged in a professional manicure.
We loved the state-of-the-art sound and vision installations, including LED screens and two exclusive VIP booths. With a spectacular stage and elegant bar, our favourite part was the live shows, with the talented team of 50 Kanika Allstars. We didn’t get to watch all the shows, but we did get to see Mambo and Sounds of Motown! All that, with a fine glass of wine before we headed off back into our dreamy room.
