Dining out as a couple is special in so many ways and on so many levels. Sometimes it’s to celebrate an occasion, other times it’s just a shared treat; but it’s always a personal experience, with a subtle intimate dimension that differentiates it from a meal with friends or family.
At the Amavi, every meal you share with your partner satisfies far more than hunger. In fact, our HB Premium gastronomy adds a pinch of delicious togetherness to every bite. It’s an experience that is appetizing and varied, refined and intimate, all at the same time.
To get it right, we spared no effort: First we designed a package that could easily outshine any other half board offering; then we called in Michelin-starred consultant chef Theodor Falser from Italy to infuse his magic into two speciality à la carte menus. The results speak for themselves…
A look at the big picture
By definition, HB Premium includes breakfast and either lunch or dinner. But that’s where the similarities with other half board packages ends… and the essence of HB Premium begins.
Apart from a magnificent buffet breakfast with an infinite display of flavours, the second meal can be either a buffet or à la carte lunch from an international menu, or dinner in one of our four different restaurants. HB Premium also includes a surprising choice of drinks with your main meal: one aperitif per person, a bottle of wine that you can choose from an impressive selection of quality Cyprus wines, or two beers per person, as well as unlimited water, soft drinks, coffee or tea. In the three à la carte restaurants, you can also enjoy a fine digestif to end your meal.
Dine-around details
The irresistible feature of HB Premium is the dine-around concept, which allows you to enjoy something deliciously different every evening. That includes one à la carte dinner in each of the three themed restaurants per week, in addition to the daily changing buffet dinner.
At the all-day dining EZARIA Restaurant with its open kitchen, dinnertime is showtime. Serving a different themed buffet every evening, EZARIA introduces you to the kitchens of the world, from French and Italian cuisine to Mexican, Asian, Indian, and Polynesian displays, as well as a dedicated Carvery Night.
Three nights a week our à la carte menus will transport you to the realm of gourmet dining. The IMMENSO is the home of an authentic pan-Asian menu that will dazzle friends of the Far East and will tempt you with its raw bar featuring edible gems such as sushi rolls, nigiri and sashimi – all served in the rooftop setting with the best seaview in town. NOCTURNE invites you to enjoy a Mediterranean degustation menu of several courses ranging from the delicious to the divine, served in an environment of formal finesse. This is where timeless taste traditions are woven into a fine dining menu with a master’s touch. At FORTOLANA, you will experience a culinary journey and a cultural gaze of the island, in a procession of sharing dishes that accompany your individually chosen main course.
Culinary stardust
Taste treats such as these are not born overnight. They are the meticulous creations of our team of award-winning chefs, led by our Group Executive Chef Andonis Nicolaou, in collaboration with Michelin-starred Chef Theodor Falser.
Falser’s experience in 5-star hotel restaurants around the world from Italy and Switzerland to Oman and Dubai, as well as China, Malaysia, Bermuda and Ecuador, ultimately earned him his Michelin-star ranking. We knew that by consulting and collaborating with him we could bring out the best in our team, while taking advantage of the amazing fresh local and excellent imported ingredients available in Cyprus.
Taking the restaurants’ individual themes into consideration, Falser designed the menu of IMMENSO and NOCTURNE and spent several months fine-tuning the recipes and training the team prior to the hotel’s opening. Periodical visits will allow him to monitor quality, maintain regular rapport with our team.
The bottom line? As a couples-only hotel, the Amavi is the first of its kind in Cyprus, so we wanted to offer our guests a dine-around experience that is equally unique. We believe we’ve succeeded; visit us and let us know what you think!
