With that in mind, new operating procedures and guidelines have been set up, including a responsible plan regarding the exposure and prevention of the COVID-19 spread. These are implemented across all Kanika Hotels & Resorts, to make guests feel safe while staying or visiting the hotels.

When visiting Kanika Hotels & Resorts around Cyprus, guests will find that several measures have been put into place additionally to the established Kanika cleanliness procedures that our guests are accustomed to know and expect. All, to ensure an even higher standard of cleanliness for the hotels and the better protection of our guests.

Kanika Health and Safety Promise


As part of its ongoing commitment to guest safety, Kanika Hotels & Resorts, also offers Free COVID-19 PCR testing at its resorts. All guests who are required by their government to have a COVID-19 PCR test before returning to their country will have the option of receiving a free COVID-19 PCR test, on hotel premises. The tests are conducted by certified medical professionals, with convenience and minimal distraction to the vacation experience.

A minimum 3-night stay is required to qualify for a free COVID-19 PCR test.


Entrance Policy

To enter the hotel, a mandatory SafePass (EUDCC or CyprusFlightPass) is required for all guests and employees. A strict temperature screening policy of staff and guests is required upon all entrance points and use of masks by all employees irrespective of SafePass regulations

Guest Rooms & Public Spaces

A Health and Safety committee at all our hotels under the supervision of our Group Health & Safety Manager ensures the smooth operation, enforcement of all procedures as well as taking immediate actions in case needed. All public areas including rooms are cleaned and disinfected with electrostatic disinfection and approved anti-virus chemicals by local health authorities. Guest rooms will be sanitized and sealed, only to be opened by the guest upon arrival, thus ensuring that the rooms’ sanitation is guaranteed.

Social Distancing

To help avoid the risk of COVID-19 transmission from person to person the company maintains social distancing protocols in all public areas of the hotel, restaurants, bars, lobby. Also, proper ventilation will provide clean air at all times in all indoor areas of the hotel and payment at check-out will be performed by contactless card payment.

You’ll see hand sanitizing stations, surgical masks, and single-use gloves near the entrances, front desks, and restaurants. Room service is now based on strict food hygiene measures and health & safety policies. Guest’s transportation will be provided by approved companies that follow government protocols on COVID-19.

Kids Clubs

To avoid contact from person to person, parents are not allowed to enter the kids’ club; however, a member of the staff can register the child at the entrance. Also, social distance regulations will be in place in the kids club – all children will keep 2 meters apart. Kids Club and toys will be disinfected daily and after use and toys that are not washable will be removed from the club.
