Here at Kanika Hotels and Resorts, we’ve narrowed down some of our absolute favourite Cyprus beaches, in close proximity to all of our hotels!
1.The action-packed strip: Nissi Beach, Agia Napa
Just a stone’s throw away from the recently renovated Olympic Lagoon Resort Agia Napa Nissi Beach is one of the most popular beaches on the island for good reason. Stunningly beautiful, this fine stretch of powdery white sand and turquoise blue waters, lures travellers from all around the world looking to be part of the waterside action. Forming a hub of activity come summertime, there are plenty of water sports to enjoy, while bustling beach bars offer cool drinks and blare out the best hits of the season.
2. A family-friendly paradise: Coral Bay, Paphos
A short drive away from both Alexander the Great Beach Hotel and the new Amavi which will soon be opening its doors, Coral Bay is perfect for families looking for some time out on golden shores. With all amenities at hand, you can enjoy a stretch of fine sand flanked by stunning limestone cliffs. There are a few places here to kick back for a drink and a nibble, while there are plenty of sunbeds to enjoy a spot of tanning.
3.The awarded one: Fig Tree Bay, Protaras
A few kilometres from the buzz of Agia Napa, Protaras also boasts some magnificent beaches. And there are few spots better to take in the endless blue than the gorgeous Fig Tree Bay, voted by TripAdvisor 2018 Travelers’ Choice Awards as the 13th best beach in Europe! Countless water sports opportunities and glistening clear waters await, while the bay is home to plenty of restaurants and bars if you’re after a nibble or a drink.
4.A stunning site to see: Curium Beach, Limassol
Characterised by stunning white cliffs, you’ll often spot kite surfers and windsurfers going wild on this windswept stretch, and the wide coastline means you can always carve out a space to call your own. With a couple of restaurants dishing up fresh fish in close proximity to the shore, once you’ve had a nibble and enjoyed your day by the coast, you can head up to the Greco-Roman Curium Ancient Amphitheatre. Perched high on the nearby cliffs, you can enjoy dramatic views of the surrounding coastline from above. This beach is just a short drive from Limassol town; if you’re staying at Elias Beach Hotel, just hit the highway, head towards Paphos, and turn off when you spot the signs for the Curium!
5.Mythological splendours: Aphrodite’s Rock Beach, Paphos
Just outside Paphos town, this is hands down one of the most photographed sites on the island, steeped in tales of romance and love. The legendary birthplace of Aphrodite, the Greek Goddess of Love and Beauty is said to have risen from the frothy seas that surround the famous rock. A great spot for couples to visit and kick back on the pebbled shore, head here at sunset and you’ll watch the sky light up in brilliant pink and crimson hues.
