Romance and mixology seamlessly fuse as part of Selene’s recently introduced cocktail weeks. “These special cocktail weeks give guests the chance to taste something truly unique. Inspired by our professional bartenders, the whole team dedicates themselves to creating specially crafted cocktails that match a specific theme that we find appropriate for the season or month,” says Vasilis Paschali, Amavi Food & Beverage Manager.

Summer 2024 will be brimming with exciting cocktail weeks to suit all tastes. Kicking off in early June with an ‘Old Fashioned Week,’ the season continues with a ‘Martini Cocktail Week’ and a ‘Moscow Mule Week.’ Each week promises a unique and immersive experience, showcasing expertly crafted drinks that will delight and inspire every cocktail enthusiast.

For couples in love, the beachside bar offers special cocktails for two, a delightful treat on the standard menu.

“Our signature MadeForTwo cocktails are very popular and we’re often told that we make some of the best hotel cocktails in Cyprus,” enthuses Paschali. “Mr. & Mrs. Smith has been one of our most popular cocktails on the menu for a long time. It’s designed ‘for him’ and ‘her’ – one lighter and fruitier and one with a stronger taste, and it’s served in a closed treasure chest that we open in front of guests.”

Carving more cocktail magic? The ‘Sixth Sense’ is an all-time favourite, crafted to indulge all five senses, delivering the essence of heaven through sight, sound, taste, texture, and aroma. Feel your twin flames burn bright while sipping on this Vodka infused with pear, shaken with fresh apple, fresh passion, aromatic Tonka blossom, almond syrup and fresh grapefruit. ‘Blood Moon’, on the other hand, promises to eclipse the senses and create perfect harmony with a blend of rums infused with roasted sesame, mixed with blood orange liqueur, almond, orange and pineapple juice.

We dedicate ourselves to constantly updating and upgrading the Selene menu for continuous improvement. “All our cocktails have been crafted by the dedicated Amavi team, and all our bartenders are trained mixologists. Our head mixologist, Georgi Glavanov, leads the team as they try out new techniques with high-tech machines,” points out Paschali. “We are also striving to make the bar zero waste with sustainable products. All our syrups are made in-house, and we really focus on homemade ingredients.”
