Staying in the buzzing seaside town of Limassol over the festive season? With the Enaerios seafront area forming a hub of activity, especially at Christmas time, the whole family can enjoy a spectacular amusement park this festive season: the Limassol Christmas Land. With all sorts of activities to enjoy, young ones can look forward to visits from Santa Claus and his little helpers, while adults can enjoy browsing various stalls set up in the little wooden houses. Numerous guest singers will also be arriving to add pizzazz to the occasion, with a highly anticipated fiery performance by Eleni Foureira in the mix (who represented Cyprus at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest).

As with years past, the Limassol Marina will be the epitome of all things festive, with heaps of events and activities taking place in the lead up to Christmas. Featuring local musicians, carollers and choirs, singing and playing much loved Christmas classics and carols, December 22nd will be exceptionally exciting with a live choir performance. On December 29th, head down to the marina to enjoy the City Live Band fill the area with festive cheer, as upbeat tunes give you great reason to rejoice.

Nothing screams Christmas time like a classic musical, and this festive season, The Sound of Music will be giving everyone good reason to rejoice at the Pattichio Municipal Theatre. Although widely associated with the Oscar-winning 1965 film starring Julie Andrews, the original musical was staged in 1959 on Broadway and celebrates its 60th birthday in the coming year.
Here in Cyprus, the show will be featuring performers and a creative team from London’s West End, bringing much loved songs to life including ‘My Favourite Things’, ‘Edelweiss’, ‘Do-Re-Mi’ and ‘Climb Every Mountain’. A real treat for the whole family, the production will be fully staged with beautiful costumes and scenery, accompanied by a live orchestra.

Love the sound of cheerful and whimsical Christmas songs? Limassol’s Pattichio Municipal Theatre will be in the limelight once again this festive season, with a classical Christmas concert presented by The Christmas Chambers Orchestra featuring Wolfgang Schroeder (solo violin) and soprano, Zoe Nicolaidou. Expect beloved songs dedicated to classic composers, all bringing the spirit of Christmas to life, including musical highlights by Corelli, Handel, Vivaldi, Piazzola, Ramirez and Straus.
